This training will discuss the need for prevention and early intervention with infants and children from birth to 5 years of age. Trauma's impact on the brain and a comparison of stressed and secure attachment, as well as the importance of parent/caregiver involvement, will be highlighted. Developmentally specific trauma intervention strategies designed to decrease child hyper-arousal and other post-trauma symptomology while increasing parent/caregiver attachment will be shared.
